8. American Kenpo – Is
a fast paced martial art and was developed by Ed Parker, it is a hybrid
combination of Kosho-Ryu Kenpo, Shaolin
Kung Fu and Bodhidharma.
7. Wing Chun – Yip
Man was the first master of Wing Chun to teach openly in Hong Kong, Yip Man
brought Wing Chun into the modern world.
Wing Chun is a fast paced and is close range martial art.
6. Aikido – This Art
is not known for having many striking moves and
principles utilizes techniques to find the weakness in your opponent,
this is a great discipline and must be willing to take a little more time to
advance in Aikido.
5. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu – BJJ is a unique Art
unto itself, it was developed in Brazil in the early 1900’s. As Helio Gracie
said – “Jiu-Jitsu is for the protection of the individual, the older man, the
weak, the child, the lady, the young women – anyone who doesn’t have the
physical attributes to defend themselves.”
This is a hybrid Art and involves grappling, hard striking, eye
gouging, choke holds, joint locks as well as having the awareness of you and your opponents center of
gravity. This is an excellent Martial
Art to get involved for all ages.
4. Krav Maga – Is an
Israeli combat system formed by Imrich Lichtenfeld, as its popularity grows
around the world, it is quickly becoming known as an effective self defense
system. Krav Maga is fast and effective
in technique and is easy to learn regardless of age or gender. This art incorporates many different forms of
martial arts from around the world!
3. Muay Thai – Is
very powerful in form and if utilized correctly can be an excellent self
defense technique! This physical and mental discipline is
known as "the art of eight limbs" because it is characterized by the
combined use of fists, elbows, knees, shins and feet, being associated
with a good physical preparation that makes a full contact fight very efficient.
2. Systema – Systema, or Система, is a Russian word for "The System"
Systema is a subtle, fluid art that is devastatingly effective. The system is an art designed to be highly adaptable and practical, using a wide variety of body mechanics and manipulations, strikes, and takedowns. There are no belts, forms or katas, with practice of the style being based more on drills and sparring. Systema is better taught students in their mid teens and up, do to maturity, attentiveness, and a positive mind set, not saying their are not exceptions. This is a great art, need to have flexability, stamina, and patients.

1. Fight Fast Self
Defense Programs are effective and easy to learn if martial arts are not what
you are looking for. Practice with
extreme caution as the moves taught are not for sport or playing around!
